RightNow ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application RightNow (the "App").
Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the App.
2. Information We Collect
Location Data
We collect your device's location when you use the App to show you nearby vibes and calculate distances. Location data is processed on-device and transmitted only to match you with nearby activity. We do not store your precise location history on our servers.
Profile Information
RightNow does not require account creation. You may optionally provide a display name, emoji avatar, profile photo, and a short bio. This information is stored locally on your device and used only within the App.
Chat Messages
Messages sent in group vibe chats are transmitted to other vibe participants via Apple CloudKit in real time. Messages are automatically deleted within 24 hours of a vibe expiring. Private chat messages are stored only for the duration of the conversation.
Photos
If you choose to share photos in a vibe chat, those photos are transmitted to other participants. We do not retain photos after the vibe expires.
Usage Data
We may collect anonymised analytics data to improve app performance, including crash reports and feature usage statistics. This data contains no personally identifiable information.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To show you vibes near your current location
- To enable real-time communication within vibes you have joined
- To improve app performance and debug issues
- To process subscription payments securely via Apple's in-app purchase system
- To respond to support requests sent to Support@chmays.app
4. Data Storage — Apple CloudKit
RightNow uses Apple CloudKit as its backend infrastructure. Your data is stored in Apple's secure cloud infrastructure, subject to Apple's own privacy policies and data protection practices. Apple CloudKit is GDPR-compliant and does not allow us to access your iCloud credentials.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to third parties. We share data only with:
- Apple Inc. — for CloudKit data storage, in-app purchase processing, and crash reporting
- Other vibe participants — your display name and messages are visible to other members of vibes you join
6. Data Retention
Vibe chat messages are deleted within 24 hours of a vibe expiring. Location data is not retained beyond your active session. Profile data is stored locally on your device and can be deleted by uninstalling the App.
You may request deletion of any data associated with your anonymous CloudKit account by contacting us at Support@chmays.app.
7. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
- Right to erasure — request deletion of your data
- Right to restrict processing — request that we limit how we use your data
- Right to data portability — request transfer of your data
- Right to object — object to our processing of your data

8. Children's Privacy
RightNow is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it immediately.
9. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS) and stored securely via Apple CloudKit.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
