StepForge ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our iOS application.

StepForge is designed with privacy at its core. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to any external servers. Everything stays on your device.

📱 2. Data We Access

StepForge requests access to the following data types through Apple HealthKit, with your explicit permission:

• Step count and walking/running distance
• Active energy burned (calories)
• Heart rate and resting heart rate
• Sleep analysis
• Flights climbed
• Body weight (for Apple Health sync feature)
• Exercise time

You can revoke any of these permissions at any time in iPhone Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → StepForge.

💾 3. How We Store Your Data

All data accessed by StepForge is stored locally on your iPhone using:

• Apple HealthKit (health and fitness data)
• UserDefaults (your preferences and settings)
• Local device storage (profile photo, body measurements)

We do not operate any backend servers. Your data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

• We do not collect personal information
• We do not use advertising SDKs or run ads
• We do not use analytics or crash reporting tools that transmit personal data
• We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties
• We do not use HealthKit data for advertising purposes
• We do not require account creation
• We do not track your location

❤️ 5. Apple HealthKit

StepForge integrates with Apple HealthKit to read your fitness and health metrics. We comply fully with Apple's HealthKit guidelines:

• HealthKit data is used only to display your fitness statistics within the app
• HealthKit data is never used for advertising or marketing purposes
• HealthKit data is never sold to data brokers or third parties
• We request only the minimum permissions necessary for app functionality

🛍️ 6. In-App Purchases

StepForge offers a Pro subscription at $3.99/month with a 14-day free trial, processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information. All billing is handled by Apple.

For subscription management, cancellation, or refunds, please visit your Apple ID account settings or contact Apple Support.

📸 7. Profile Photo

If you choose to add a profile photo, the image is stored locally on your device only. It is never uploaded, shared, or transmitted anywhere.

👶 8. Children's Privacy

StepForge is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

🗑️ 9. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have full control over your data:

• Delete all app data: Settings → Manage Data → Reset All Data
• Revoke HealthKit access: iPhone Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices
• Delete the app: Long-press StepForge on your Home Screen → Remove App. This removes all locally stored data.

🔄 10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

For significant changes, we will notify you through an app update or notification.
